I have a friend.
I have a friend and I love him, I have a friend and he loves me.
When life is tough he is there to make me smile and feel loved, when I am happy and laughing he bounces around and shares my excitement. He knows when I’m sad and quietly stays close and watches over me in case I need him. He never demands my attention but lives for the times when we are together. If I am late he waits patiently and is always excited to see me. When I leave there is a sadness in his eyes that touches my heart. By my side he stands; ready to give his life for me, against even the most insurmountable odds. He keeps me warm when I’m cold. He exists only to have me praise him and share my love. A gentle touch or a kind word brings a “smile” to his face. I trust him with my loved ones just as he puts his trust in me totally. He is my partner, my protector, my rock, my best friend!
